These units are direct replacements and keep the classic appearance by using the original wires already in place. You simply have to by-pass the bulkhead mounted regulator box. All the units are manufactured from billet aluminium and incorporate a light-weight 50amp race alternators inside more than doubling the output of the original item in most cases! 

Dynalite replacement for Lucas C45 Dynamo. This unit offers the advantages of a 60 amp lightweight alternator, but built into a dynamo type casing. The unit has its own internal regulator so there is no need for an external type. Your existing Voltage regulator can be used simply as a junction point for the wiring.

 A Negative Earth version is also required.

What changes need to be made to the wiring?

The Dynalite unlike a dynamo is self regulating, therefore the control box is redundant. There are two ways to rewire the control box for the Dynalite unit. The first is to simply bypass or use the control box as a junction point with two small wiring changes or fit a dummy control box. (Please enquire)
