Fitting Tips:
Please note that the window is fitted from the inside of the car, with the rubber seal being pulled over the window aperture from the outside. This is because the glass sits behind the window aperture, not in front of it like any other car. The chrome trim (if you still have it) is very difficult to fit andkeep in place; probably it was intended originally to fit a new one each time as it becomes distorted on removal. These have been unavailable for many years, but note that they are only decorative, and the rubber will seal the glass without it, but will not look as smart!
-
Allow an extra 1" length when preparing to fit
- Fit seal around glass before offering up to body
- Metal trim is fitted after seal is in place on car, sometimes necessary to stick to rubber, especially rear, with suitable adhesive.
Please note: On profile picture Largest slot is for glass, medium for body, smallest for metal trim.
